Sign Language Interpreter Position Yelm, WA

ProCare is thrilled to announce a full-time position for an experienced Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) in a local school district. This rewarding role focuses on enhancing student communication and engagement within a collaborative setting. Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved interpreter training program.
  • Certification: Current certification as a sign language interpreter (e.g., from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf or a state credential).
  • Training: Completion of a clinical practicum or internship as part of the interpreter training program.
  • Experience: Previous experience interpreting in educational settings is preferred but not always required.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to accurately convey spoken language in sign language and vice versa; cultural competency and understanding of Deaf culture.


Compensation:
As a contracted professional with ProCare, you will be paid at an hourly rate on a weekly basis as a W-2 employee. We value your time and compensate you for all hours worked, including time spent on indirect services. Your hourly pay rate is customized based on your experience level, ensuring competitiveness among other contractors.
