Principal R&D Engineer

Job Description:
As a Principal R&D Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of advanced deep learning models for medical image analysis. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing algorithms for a variety of tasks, including image registration, segmentation, and classification.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and Development: Conduct cutting-edge research in deep learning and computer vision, focusing on medical image analysis applications.
  • Algorithm Development: Design, implement, and optimize deep learning algorithms for tasks such as image registration, segmentation, and classification.
  • Prototype Development: Develop and prototype deep learning models using frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Real-time Processing: Explore techniques for real-time processing of medical images, leveraging GPU programming and optimization strategies.
  • Software Engineering: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C/C++ and Python.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical experts, data scientists, and software engineers.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in deep learning, computer vision, and medical image analysis.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
  • Proficiency in deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Experience with GPU programming (CUDA, OpenCL).
  • Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling.
  • Experience with large language models (LLMs) and large vocabulary models (LVMs) is a plus.
