As a Test Technicianyou will:

Responsibilities

  • The Test Technician – Electrical/Mechanical is responsible for maintaining and operating electrical and mechanical testing rigs, performing design validation, and verifying the performance of electronics and electro-mechanical products.
  • This role includes assembling and disassembling test rigs, particularly for electric motors, and ensuring the functionality of lab equipment used for product testing and validation.
  • Work with Engineering to understand and apply defined test methods and requirements.
  • Maintain lab equipment in good working order.
  • Troubleshoot defective lab equipment, provide first attempt at repairing broken equipment, and lead routine maintenance of equipment, as needed.
  • Build test harnesses, load boxes, and test fixtures to support product verification, as required, with minimal supervision.
  • Document and maintain records relating to work performed.
  • Inform supervisor of process, test, or design problems and provide recommendation for corrective action.
  • Design and assemble electrical/mechanical fixtures and test setups as required.
  • Perform inspection, test, and failure analysis as necessary to determine cause of defective tests and assemblies with minimal supervision.
  • Create test documentation when required for prototype products if engineering instructions are not available.
  • Communicate in a professional and effective manner.
  • Perform other associated tasks as required.
Basic Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude- Dyno precision, electrical knowledge- troubleshooting wire harnesses, assembling test fixtures.
 

Shift: 1st shift

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: Fargo, ND

 

Pay rate: $30/hr. to $38/hr.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
