We are seeking a Jr. Project Accountant to contribute to our team in the construction industry, located in North Bergen, New Jersey, United States. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, all central to maintaining financial order and efficiency within our organization. This role is onsite.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of AIA billing including the preparation, coordination and processing of invoices according to contract terms
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payment processing
  • Spearhead collections efforts, making sure debts are paid in a timely manner
  • Handle payroll time sheets, ensuring accurate recording and submission for all employees
  • Manage time and material, ensuring resources are utilized efficiently and accounted for properly
  • Perform ad hoc general accounting tasks as required
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations



  • Must have 1-2 years of experience in construction accounting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • High level of professionalism, integrity and ethics.
