Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking to bring on board a Manager, Financial Reporting in Charlotte, North Carolina, to be part of our team. The individual will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health of our organization by overseeing debt securitization and debt covenant compliance reporting. This role also requires staying up-to-date with new GAAP pronouncements and assessing their impact on the company.


Responsibilities


• Oversee the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements related to the company’s debt securitization and debt covenant compliance

• Assist with the audit and review of prepared financial statements

• Collaborate with shared services on certain month-end close journal entries and close processes

• Provide support for technical accounting matters to business units and other departments as needed

• Assist the Treasury department with weekly cash reporting

• Help with the preparation of audit schedules and respond to audit requests

• Establish productive relationships within finance and other departments

• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with corporate policies and procedures

• Act as a business partner with management to provide recommendations to improve month-end processes, financial controls, forecasting, and general analytics

• Research technical developments related to accounting pronouncements and assess impact to the company

• Analyze current processes and make recommendations for process improvement

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Automotive industry
• Proficient in External Financial Reports, Financial Reporting, and Monthly Financial Reporting
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required
• Previous experience in a Big 4 Accounting Firm is essential
• Demonstrated ability in managing complex financial analysis and reporting
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and standards
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Proficient in using financial software and systems
• High level of integrity and professional ethics
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
