We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Editorial Specialist with a prominent financial client in Downtown Los Angeles. This is a 6+ month contract position, with a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite weekly.

As an Editorial Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the marketing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality materials across print and digital platforms. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to manage projects and meet deadlines, contributing to the overall success of marketing campaigns while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Content Review & Editing: Copyedit and proofread marketing materials, ensuring clarity, accuracy, style, and tone align with the brand’s voice. Verify facts and statistics and ensure compliance with disclosure requirements.
Content Updates: Implement revisions to content, including updating statistical data and disclosures. Ensure updates are accurately reflected across digital platforms while meeting size constraints and maintaining error-free materials.
Compliance Monitoring: Track and apply updates to compliance language, ensuring all materials adhere to legal and regulatory standards. Assess and update existing materials as required.
Style Consistency: Stay informed of style guide updates and apply them to ensure consistent tone and style across all communications.
Research & Data Assistance: Support content development by gathering data and providing approved backup materials for fact-checking.
Content Development & Liaison: Assist in story development, rewrite materials for specific audiences, and act as a liaison with external agencies to ensure materials meet review standards.

Qualifications:
Strong editorial skills, with a deep understanding of grammar, punctuation, and style guides.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with MS Excel for data input, sorting, and basic chart manipulation (preferred).
Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
Proven problem-solving abilities and a track record of meeting deadlines.
1–3 years of editorial experience in a professional setting.
