Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will provide prehensive speech and language services to students, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' munication needs within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and munication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, focusing on speech, language, voice, and fluency.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom and home activities.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and participate in IEP meetings.
- Educate and train school staff and parents on strategies to support students' munication skills.
- Maintain accurate records, including progress notes, reports, and other required documentation.

Requirements:
- Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Current Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical petence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- California mission on Teacher Credentialing: Must hold or be eligible to obtain the Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential required to work in California public schools.
- Clearances: Must pass a criminal background check, including Live Scan fingerprinting, and provide a current TB test clearance as required by California schools.
- Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong munication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with augmentative and alternative munication (AAC) devices.
- Familiarity with school-based therapy models and the IEP process.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
Working Conditions:
- The position requires working in a school environment, which may involve travel between schools within the district.
- May require lifting or moving equipment used in therapy sessions.
