Eligibility Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring an Eligibility Specialist for our healthcare client located in Covina. This position will be 100% onsite and a full-time, contract-to-hire position. This role is for a behavioral health client and interested candidates must feel comfortable working with individuals suffering from mental health ailments, substance abuse disorders, and/or homelessness.
This position will be focused on the intake and review of program participants and reviewing their eligibility for MediCal Benefits. This role will be patient-facing and be utilizing patient demographics in order to determine eligibility - being detail-oriented and analytical is a very important part of this position.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years medical customer service and/or eligibility experience required
- Bilingual English/Spanish desired
- Proficient in multiple software systems including Microsoft Office
- Compassionate and empathetic towards others
- Ability to work well in a stressful environment and remain calm in escalated situations
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail and analyzing information
- Tech savvy and can work within multiple software systems
- Can work well independently and as a team player when needed
Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
