Business Analyst - Generalist/Policy

Location: Bethesda, MD (NIH)

Duration: Long-term Contract

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust clearance.
  • 1 (or more) years of Federal consulting experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in strategic plan implementation, program or project management, organizational transformation, process improvement, workforce strategy, change management, communications, or enterprise governance and risk management.
  • Ability to synthesize information quickly and learn new skills, anticipate problems, and apply of variety of comprehensive solutions. This includes conducting research to investigate client problems and working collaboratively with a team to formulate and recommend a path forward.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Flexible and adaptable, comfortable operating in times of ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in collaboration with a team
  • Proven ability to take initiative on projects

Day to Day/Responsibilities:

  • Solution-focused problem-solving
  • Managing time and meeting deadlines across multiple priorities
  • Utilizing project management best practices within an organization to produce high quality deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Documenting and evaluating existing business processes to identify pain points and making recommendations for process improvements. This includes coordination with process stakeholders to complete current-state process maps, review of relevant documentation to gain a thorough understanding, and building a future-state solution.
  • Planning and leading client meetings, workshops, and executive presentations.
  • Producing a variety of communications from informal email interactions with clients to formal strategic planning documents, resource guides, presentations, and executive briefings.
