Controller

Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will oversee the companyâ?s financial strategy, manage accounts, payroll, budgets, cash flow, and forecasting. You will handle transactions, debts, audits, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Yearly sales revenue totals between $500-$700M.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise an accounting team of 18-20 between the PDX and Seattle offices.
- Implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
- Oversee outsourced functions and design an efficient accounting department structure.
- Manage subsidiary accounting operations, including control systems and transaction processes.
- Ensure timely payments, collections, payroll processing, and debt payments.
- Complete bank reconciliations and maintain the chart of accounts, filing system, and transaction controls.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, annual reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Develop benchmarks, analyze variances, and generate financial metrics.
- Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and generate financial reports to ensure the accurate and timely closing of the books.
- Manage the fixed asset register, calculate depreciation, and ensure accurate reporting of additions, disposals, and asset classifications.
- Record and maintain lease transactions in compliance with accounting standards, including calculations for lease liabilities and right-of-use assets.
- Provide cost reports and financial analyses for investments, pricing, and contracts.
- Facilitate audits and ensure compliance with debt covenants and government regulations.
- Handle tax filings and reporting requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 7+ years of large accounting team experience.Â
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- CPA or MBA preferred.
- Large ERP Systems experience required. Oracle preferred.
COMPENSATION:
This position offers a salary between $135,000-$175,000yr + 15% performance bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, time off, 401K match, etc.
