Assistant Controller

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Assistant Controller, based in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be a key member of our client's team, performing a variety of tasks related to accounting functions and financial statement preparation.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all accounting functions, ensuring smooth daily operations
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems to process financial transactions
• Handle month-end management tasks including closing and reporting
• Prepare and review complex journal entries and consolidations
• Conduct financial statement preparation and reporting
• Manage and perform billing functions accurately and efficiently
• Perform reconciliation review and make necessary adjustments
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data through regular audits
• Investigate and resolve financial inquiries and discrepancies.
• Proficient in ERP
• Demonstrated ability to perform Accounting Functions
• Competency in Month End Close procedures
• Skilled in Financial Statement Preparation
• Ability to handle Journal Entries
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
