Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex billing, coding, insurance inquiries, and appeals.
  • Coordinate with payers, Patient Navigators, and clients.
  • Resolve denied or underpaid claims.
  • Assess patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
  • Reverify benefits and document activities
  • Serve as a regional contact for senior-level clients.
  • Coordinate tasks between Occam and the client.
  • Communicate with Patient Navigators for patient progress.
  • Attend client meetings, training, and conferences (5% travel).
  • Research payer medical policy and update requirements.
  • Prepare and review reports as needed.
  • Complete quality monitoring and assurance tasks
  • Host conference calls with senior-level clients.
  • Review and process documentation for patient support program eligibility.
  • Additional tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of recent healthcare experience (2 years direct industry preferred).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a preference for call center experience.
  • Advanced problem-solving, research, and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional data entry accuracy.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize work independently.
  • Must pass a criminal background screening
