Position Description:

We are seeking a highly-motivated, mechanically inclined Plant Operator with a growth mindset who enjoys a dynamic, hands on, field-based work environment. You will be responsible for daily maintenance including preventative measures.

Job Description

• The Operator is responsible for ensuring that the Facility is operated and maintained efficiently, safely, and within regulatory compliance.
• Work safely around potentially hazardous conditions (H2S, hot&cold process piping, heavy equipment, etc.)
• Reporting Near-Misses and Stop Work Authorities
• Operate, start-up, and shut down of Natural Gas facilities Equipment but not limited to Propane Refrigeration Systems, Compressors, De-Hy Units, Separators, Valves, Gas Measurement.
• Adjust controls to operate equipment in the recommended operating ranges.
• Visual Inspection of all equipment and controls at periodic levels to detect errors, adjustments, lubrication and repairs as needed.
• Responsible for the operation of CO2 Re-Injection compression as well as a NGL liquid recovery.
• De-pressure & Lock-out/Tag-out all Equipment, Piping, Valves, and Vessels for maintenance.
• Monitor all Facility and Field Operations and respond to Emergencies
• Operate under Process Safety Management (PSM)
• Monitor the field operations through SCADA and make calls to alert field operations of any field alarms or upsets.
• Monitor, remove and replace filters, oil, chemicals, other lubricating fluids, gaskets, and valves as needed.
• May work in confined spaces (i.e. tanks, between compressors, vessels).
• Indoor/Outdoor Environment around Industrial & Electrical Equipment
• Working in extreme temperatures
• Using physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment and tools.
• Climbing and working at various heights and may work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouched or kneeling position.
• Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level and lift up to 50 lbs., manually transport a load up to 75 lbs., and apply up to 100 foot pounds of torque.

Required Qualifications

• Must maintain valid driver’s license.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a group environment.
• Demonstrated self- starter with the ability to work independently and exercise good judgement.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment, shift rotations, and perform call outs.
• Must be able to react to high stress/emergency situations in a deliberate, thoughtful, and timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in oil field, plant operations, industrial operations
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to learn and perform operation and maintenance tasks associated with various types of facilities and equipment.
• Proficiency with computers including MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as other computer-based work training, time reporting, expense reporting, and on-line work applications and documentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
