We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plant Operator to join our team at Workrise - Upstream Oil & Gas. As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the daily maintenance and operation of our oil and gas facilities, ensuring efficient and safe production.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure facility operations are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including preventative measures, to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Operate and maintain various types of equipment, including compressors, de-hy units, separators, valves, and gas measurement systems.
- Monitor and adjust controls to operate equipment within recommended operating ranges.
- Conduct visual inspections of equipment and controls to detect errors, adjustments, lubrication, and repairs as needed.
- Responsible for the operation of CO2 re-injection compression and NGL liquid recovery.
- De-pressure and lock-out/tag-out equipment, piping, valves, and vessels for maintenance.
- Monitor facility and field operations, responding to emergencies as needed.
- Operate under Process Safety Management (PSM) guidelines.
- Monitor field operations through SCADA and alert field operations of any field alarms or upsets.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including filter replacement, oil and chemical changes, and gasket replacement.
- May work in confined spaces, including tanks, between compressors, and vessels.
- Work in an indoor/outdoor environment with industrial and electrical equipment.
- Work in extreme temperatures and use physical force to lift, push, pull, and hold equipment and tools.
- Climb and work at various heights, and may work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouched, or kneeling position.
- Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a group environment.
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment, shift rotations, and perform call-outs.
- Must be able to react to high stress/emergency situations in a deliberate, thoughtful, and timely manner.
- Previous experience in oil field, plant operations, or industrial operations.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and perform operation and maintenance tasks associated with various types of facilities and equipment.
- Proficiency with computers, including MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as other computer-based work training, time reporting, expense reporting, and online work applications and documentation.
