Pay Rate: $16.85/hour

We are a staffing agency assisting a state government health department in finding a skilled Front Desk Administrative Assistant to join their team. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a customer-facing role in a healthcare-like environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the initial point of contact for clients, conducting on-site interviews and directing individuals per program policies.
Process and update client profiles in systems such as SIMON, EHR, and Private Pay.
Answer phones and schedule appointments using EHR as needed.
Assess financial information to determine eligibility based on program guidelines.
Assist clients with completing Medicaid applications as applicable.
Conduct front desk administrative tasks, including client check-in/out, insurance verification, scanning, and accepting payments.
Ensure completion of required agency and program training and participate in optional training for professional development.
Perform other assigned duties, including supporting disaster response efforts.

Work Environment:
The department operates similarly to a doctor’s office. While prior medical experience is not required, strong customer service skills are a must.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience in customer service (CSR experience required).
Ability to manage administrative and front desk duties efficiently.
Comfort working in a health-related environment.
Willingness to learn and complete required training.
