Superintendent/SSHO/QC
We are looking for an experienced Superintendent/SSHO/QC with excellent time management skills. Responsibilities include managing staff, project oversight and ordering needed supplies for construction, responsible for taking full control of CQC, responsible for overall management of the CQC plan and having full authority to act in all QC matters, responsible for providing safety oversite for the construction project.
To be successful as a Superintendent/SSHO/QC you should have excellent communication skills and natural leadership abilities. A good Superintendent/SSHO/QC manages construction schedules and site activities on time and efficiently. Must be a team player with a strong knowledge of USACE EM 385 1.1, 29 CFR 1910 and 29 CFR 1926.
Superintendent/SSHO/QC Responsibilities:
Order construction supplies.
Ensure that schedules are adhered to.
Liaise with building owners and tenants.
Ensure that safety guidelines are adhered to.
Provide thorough safety orientation for all project new hires
Provide strong safety oversite and guidance
Guide subcontractors through the preparation of government safety requirements
Effectively enforce all governing and company standards with the "Behavior Base Approach"
Conduct daily onsite safety inspections
Correct and document safety deficiencies
Conduct Equipment Initial Inspections
Daily communication with project team
Provide accurate recordkeeping and AHA matrix
Must be able to drive
Able to pass security background check to enter post
Capable of coordinating with many Subcontractors
Efficient/Able to plan days, weeks in advance
Detail driven
Skillful communicator with client/subcontractors
Able to conduct QCM weekly meeting in a highly professional manner and instill confidence in client in the QC operations
Perform/coordinate inspections
Upload and manage QC data on a daily basis
Perform submittal review functions
Proficient completing required daily documentation
Superintendent/SSHO/QC Requirements:
Proficiency with scheduling software, and CAE and CAD applications.
Excellent leadership skills.
Prior experience with project management.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
5 years DOD experience (Level 4 qualified per Army Corps 385-1-1)
High school with Trade school/degree preferred
30 Hour OSHA in construction
Proficient with MS Office
Must be competent in all disciplines.
Degree preferred in Construction Management or Engineering
Candidate must have 10 years' federal experience
Certificate for "Construction Quality Management for Contractors" from USACE
30 Hour OSHA in construction
Thorough knowledge of quality control inspection standards, procedures and applicable codes required
Good verbal and written communication skills
