Benefits /LOA Analyst

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Benefits/LOA Analyst in the medical device industry. As a Benefits/LOA Analyst, you will be involved in the detailed planning and implementation of everyday leave programs. You will be essential in identifying and setting up internal operations as well as collaborating with a third-party administrative vendor to ensure efficient management of leave cases and related communications.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the vendor to design, manage, and communicate effective leave processes.
• Detect process inefficiencies and collaborate with the vendor, HR, managers, and employees for improvement.
• Act as the expert on holiday, paid time off, and leave policy.
• Identify areas for process automation and provide business requirements to HRIS for system changes; undertake user acceptance testing.
• Utilize resources from vendors, publications, and the internal Legal team to ensure leave programs are in compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws.
• Serve as the expert on medical, dental, vision, and other ancillary programs within the area of Health and Welfare.
• Provide daily support in the administration of health and welfare plans, including addressing inquiries from HR, managers, and employees, educating them on the various benefit plans offered, and coordinating and managing vendors.
• Conduct benefits overview and training in collaboration with the Benefits Manager.
• Collaborate with HRIS, payroll, and the vendor to ensure proper and accurate data management through system integration for enrollment, life events, and ongoing employee changes.
• Track data accurately and fulfill benefit reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with the Benefits Manager and Company’s broker on annual health and welfare plan design strategy and make recommendations on refining and implementing health and welfare benefit programs.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Benefits Analyst role with heavy LOA background.
• Proficiency in managing Benefit Functions, including plan design, administration, and compliance.
• Demonstrated experience with Cobra Administration, ensuring regulatory compliance and seamless employee transitions.
• Proficiency in using Workday for benefits management and HRIS functions.
• Solid understanding and experience in managing Leave of Absence procedures and policies.
• Knowledge of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requirements and administration.
• Proven track record in comprehensive Benefits Administration, including health, retirement, and ancillary benefits.
