Location: Kankakee, IL

Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Social Worker to join our team in Kankakee, IL. The ideal candidate will provide social work services to students in PreK-5th grade, supporting their emotional and social development. This is a full-time position, and you will work closely with students, families, and school staff to address and support the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.

Educational Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field.
  • Valid Illinois School Social Worker License.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct social work services to students in PreK-5th grade.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success.
  • Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions.
  • Address crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on social-emotional goals.

Certifications:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred.
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker Endorsement.

Key Skills:

  • Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students and staff.
  • Knowledge of social-emotional learning and behavior management strategies.
  • Experience with crisis intervention and conflict resolution.

Schedule:

  • Full time
