An international manufacturing organization is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join as a fulltime direct hire.

Title: Manufacturing Process Technician / Process Engineer

Location: San Diego, CA - 92121 (onsite)

The Process Engineer will optimize manufacturing process, set up product flows, determine the materials, labor, outside vendor requirements, and equipment necessary for production. Additionally, the Process Engineer works closely with the engineering, quality, and planning to ensure that production processes are optimized for efficiency and quality. Client capabilities include CNC Milling (5-axis, 4-axis, and 3-axis), CNC Turning, EDM, assembly, and hand finishing operations.

 

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience working on manufacturing projects
  • Previous experience in a machining or fabrication environment (CNC, Lathe, Mills, etc)
  • Previous experience utilizing ERP system to generate product routings and costing.
  • Ability to read and review engineering drawings or blueprints.
  • Previous experience creating process flows or routes for a manufacturing process.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize Manufacturing Processes: Continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure high-quality output.
  • Set Up Product Flows: Design and implement effective product flows, ensuring smooth transitions between different stages ofproduction.
  • Determine Production Requirements: Identify and specify the materials, labor, equipment, and outside vendor services required for production.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with engineering, quality, and planning teams to ensure production processes meet efficiency and quality standards.
  • Utilize CNC Capabilities: Leverage client capabilities in CNC Milling (5-axis, 4-axis, and 3-axis), CNC Turning, EDM, assembly, and hand finishing operations to optimize production.
  • Review Engineering Drawings: Read and interpret engineering drawings or blueprints to create precise process flows and routes.
  • Monitor and Analyze Production Data: Track production metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Train and Mentor Staff: Provide training and guidance to production staff to ensure adherence to optimized processes and quality standards.

 

Compensation:

$66,000 to $90,000 per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
