Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a contract for an Accounting Clerk position in JESSUP, Maryland, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the accounts receivable and customer service functions of our organization.

Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer payments and ensure they are correctly documented in the respective reports
• Assist in the assembly of accounts receivable documents
• Collaborate with the customer service team to facilitate new orders
• Ensure accurate billing by diligently following up on orders
• Address and resolve account discrepancies
• Undertake the processing of returns and refunds
• Maintain and update customer files to secure data accuracy
• Manage all billing and reporting tasks within set deadlines
• Act as a liaison to uphold quality service to customers while maintaining a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
• Strictly adhere to all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations.• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role as an Accounting Clerk
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation processes and techniques
• Demonstrated experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Prior experience in Billing procedures and systems
• Proven ability in Data Entry tasks with high accuracy
• Strong skills in using Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks
• Experience in Collecting Payments in a timely and organized manner
• Knowledge in handling Collections and related procedures
• Familiarity with Excel Formulas and their application in accounting tasks
