Job Overview

Tate Inc., a leading global company in data center infrastructure solutions and commercial office raised access floors, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team.

Location: Jessup, MD

Responsibilities
  • We are responsible for collecting customer balances owed, maintaining accurate records of balances to be billed and payments received.
  • Process, verify, and post receipts for goods sold or services rendered.
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies.
  • Process and record transactions.
  • Reconcile billing between accounting system and customer billing portals where relevant.
  • Maintain records regarding payments and account statuses.
  • Obtain information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up-to-date.
  • Review customer accounts, payments, and credit history to establish best practices for credit terms.
  • Work with liens, bonds, and joint check agreements.
  • Work with credit insurers to administer customer credit insurance.
  • Provide support for external and internal audits.
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding bills and payments.
  • Perform administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, and filing.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and procedures.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
