Job Title: Senior Payroll Accountant
Location: Hybrid (Mon, Wed, Thurs on-site), with potential for 100% remote
Duration: 3-month contract, with possible extension

Job Overview:

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Senior Payroll Accountant to manage US payroll accounts, including taxes, benefits, and month-end close tasks. This role reports to the Senior Accounting Manager and involves partnering with HR and other departments to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance. The Senior Payroll Accountant will also help maintain internal controls and prepare for audits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll and related tax journal entries for areas like 401(k), medical benefits, bonuses, and more.

  • Perform monthly payroll reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.

  • Work with HR and other teams to manage payroll accounting issues.

  • Support new business initiatives and implement payroll-related processes.

  • Assist in month-end close and prepare payroll reports.

  • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.

  • Recommend and implement process improvements.

Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations.

  • Experience with payroll systems (Ceridian, ADP) and financial systems (Oracle, SAP).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.

  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 5+ years of payroll and general ledger experience, preferably in a global company.



Pay Details: $50.00 to $54.66 per hour
