Job DescriptionJob DescriptionScion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Nonprofit Grants Administrator (Affordable Housing) on behalf of our client, an established social nonprofit organization dedicated to providing homeownership opportunities to the community of Colorado This is a wonderful, full-time, on-site, direct-hire opportunity located in Lakewood, CO with a dedicated, mission-driven, and experienced team

The Nonprofit Grants Administrator (Affordable Housing) will provide a demonstrated professional background in program management to oversee the administration of funding from grantees to coordinating loan sales with banking partners ensuring positive relationships with all affiliates.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a portfolio of grants and loans, ensuring adherence to organizational objectives.
  • Develop and implement program guidelines, providing training and technical assistance to grantees.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of funding requirements, communicating them effectively to affiliates.
  • Review affiliate funding requests, ensuring completeness, eligibility, and compliance.
  • Conduct research into compliance issues to address them promptly.
  • Collaborate with teams to publicize funding opportunities and communicate regularly with recipients.
  • Track deadlines, maintain accurate records, and assess opportunities for process improvement.
  • Prepare reports for funders as needed and assist with annual audits.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrated professional experience in nonprofit program management, specifically in funding administration receiving grants from local, state, and federal entities, while also awarding grants.
  • Experience with real estate, title work, mortgage underwriting, mortgage origination or mortgage closings a plus.
  • Passion for or experience in affordable housing initiatives is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to provide training and technical assistance in-person as well as online.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, as well as cultural competency in working inclusively with underserved communities.
  • Highly organized, communicative, and collaborative while maintaining confidentiality..
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, re-prioritizing the workload as necessary to meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.

Compensation:
