Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in WESTPORT, Connecticut, United States. This role is within the finance industry and requires a detail-oriented individual to assist with various bookkeeping duties. You will be primarily involved in managing financial records, assisting with invoices, and answering queries related to pricing.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and manage QuickBooks for specific projects
• Assist in regular invoicing and Accounts Payable (AP) operations
• Liaise with external Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) as needed
• Provide answers to queries on pricing for specific items
• Maintain and update financial records accurately
• Execute data entry tasks and maintain the organization of financial data
• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy of records
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks
• Assist in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Answer and resolve customer inquiries related to financial matters.• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in Bank Reconciliations
• Solid understanding of Bookkeeping principles
• Proficient in Data Entry tasks
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Minimum high school diploma; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not mandatory.
