Corporate Legal Assistant

Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented legal assistant to join our client’s team in Portland, Oregon The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in real estate, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate filings.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical legal files, including minute books
- Draft, proofread, and format legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and correspondence
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
- Track project deadlines and provide timely reminders to attorneys
- Oversee client billing processes, including reviewing and finalizing invoices
- Coordinate transactional closings and related tasks
- Assist with corporate filings, entity formations, and related documentation
- Delegate and monitor administrative tasks across departments
- Track and manage annual deadlines and reminders
- Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and external parties
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a corporate legal assistant in real estate, business transactions, and mergers and acquisitions; environmental regulatory experience is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision
- Skilled in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with BigHand is advantageous
- Effective communicator, able to collaborate professionally with clients and team members.
- High attention to detail with strong typing, grammar, and document review capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and client service skills, maintaining professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations
