We are in search of a Paralegal to join our team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This role is integral to our operations and will require a thorough understanding of commercial real estate, legal documentation, and the ability to review contracts. The role is based on a long-term contract and is focused primarily on commercial real estate.


Responsibilities:


• Review and analyze legal contracts using pre-approved forms and checklists.

• Execute and manage document filing procedures, such as creating cover sheets, setting up documents in DocuSign, and coordinating document distribution.

• Draft various legal agreements including simple amendments, estoppels, notice letters, and lease agreements.

• Thoroughly review title insurance policies and land surveys.

• Enter and monitor investment, real estate, and vendor contract terms and conditions in the relevant software systems.

• Assist in the formation and maintenance of legal entities used for real estate investment purposes, including reviewing state annual reports and drafting tax forms.

• Provide substantial support to Real Estate Legal in managing data, tracking deadlines, and updating critical dates for legal action items.

• Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding the status of legal documents and direct them appropriately when necessary.

• Possess a Paralegal certification or degree in law or a related field
• Proven experience as a Paralegal, preferably within the Commercial Real Estate sector
• In-depth understanding and experience with Estoppel
• Proficient in drafting and reviewing Lease Agreements
• Excellent research and report-writing skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
• Proficient in the use of legal research software and other computer applications
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion at all times
