Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service, and maintaining high standards of food quality. You will play a vital role in managing staff, optimizing restaurant performance, and enhancing the overall guest experience.

Duties

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service and adherence to company policies.
  • Supervise and train staff in food handling, customer service, and cash handling procedures.
  • Oversee shift management, ensuring that all shifts are adequately staffed and that team members are performing their duties effectively.
  • Monitor food production processes to maintain quality standards and compliance with health regulations.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial management by tracking expenses and implementing cost-control measures.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff members.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager on special events, promotions, and menu changes.

Skills

  • Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of cash handling procedures and financial management skills.
  • Excellent team management abilities with a focus on training and development.
  • Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety standards is required.
  • Strong budgeting skills to assist in financial planning and resource allocation.
  • Ability to manage shifts effectively while ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Experience in supervising staff in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food production processes is an asset.
