About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Nairn House Care Home. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our residents, while also inspiring and developing our Care Assistants to be their best every day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit, ensuring the smooth operation of our care services.
  • Supporting with clinical duties, including observing, issuing medication, reviewing care plans, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsible for all shift handovers and providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Helping with training and supervision of new staff members, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported in their role.
  • Building relationships with residents, their families, and external teams, such as GPs and District Nurses.
  • Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties, promoting their independence and dignity.
Requirements
  • Completed or working towards an NVQ3 in care, with a passion for delivering high-quality care and making a real difference to people's lives.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the rewards and challenges of the position.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a close-knit team and build strong relationships with residents, families, and external partners.
