Financial Reporting Manager

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a company based in Newark, Delaware. We are in search of a Financial Reporting Manager. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial reporting, particularly with SEC filings, and a strong background in technical accounting. This role requires a CPA and a minimum of 7-10 years of combined experience, including 3-4 years in public accounting.
Job Title: Financial Reporting Manager
Location: Newark, DE (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review SEC filings, including 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K reports.
- Ensure compliance with SOX, FASB, GAAP, and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures.
- Manage the technical accounting and reporting processes.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with FERC regulations.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on financial reporting matters.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
- CPA certification is preferred.
- MBA is preferred.
- 7-10 years of combined experience in financial reporting and accounting.
- 3-4 years of public accounting experience, preferably from a Big 4 firm.
- Extensive experience with SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K).
- Strong knowledge of SOX, FASB, GAAP, and technical accounting.
- Experience in the utility or energy industry is highly desirable.
- Proven supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
