Aerospace Technician

Aerotek on behalf of it's client is seeking electrical- mechanical technicians preferably coming from the Aerospace, manufacturing, medical industries. Must have experience with electrical- mechanical assembly, final integration, and proficiency with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices. This is a 11 month contract. Pay is $30-36/hr DOE.
Job Description:
- Assemble and test with emphasis to detail, an assortment of avionic LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, handle and install fiber-optics, and PCBAs
- Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
- Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition system
- Identify equipment requirements, process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory
- You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
- Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance
- Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical-mechanical assembly and final integration tasks.
- Utilize precision torque, measurement, and inspection devices (e.g., automated and manual torque wrenches, torque drivers, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters).
- Read, interpret, and work from blueprints or drawings.
- Adhere to FOD, ESD sensitive hardware, and clean room requirements.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Adapt to rapidly changing roles and responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant high-traceability manufacturing
experience (aerospace, medical, or related field).
2+ years of hands-on work experience in
electrical-mechanical assembly and final integration.
1+ years of experience in a fast-paced production
environment.
1+ years of hands-on experience with precision torque,
measurement, and inspection devices, as well as standard hand tools.
Preferred Skills:
ASE certification and/or equivalent experience.
CFOT certification and/or equivalent experience.
1+ years of experience reading, interpreting, and working
from blueprints or drawings.
Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware, and
clean room requirements.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while
working in a high-paced, challenging work environment.
Prior military service is a plus.
