Job Opening: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Englewood, Colorado

Description: Englewood Schools is in search of a skilled and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students with speech and language impairments. The role involves working collaboratively with educational staff and families to develop effective strategies and support systems to enhance munication skills for students.

Key Duties:

  • Perform thorough assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
  • Create and implement tailored treatment plans (IEPs) to address each student's specific munication needs.
  • Deliver direct therapeutic services to students experiencing speech and language difficulties.
  • Work in partnership with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support and integrate speech and language goals within the classroom environment.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress, therapy sessions, and IEP documentation.
  • Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Offer guidance and training to teachers and parents on strategies to support students munication development.
  • Engage in continuous professional learning to stay updated with the latest practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services Provider license with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement.
  • Certificate of Clinical petence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, educational staff, and families.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services Provider license with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement.
  • Certificate of Clinical petence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or pletion of the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Successful pletion of background checks and fingerprinting as required by Englewood Schools.
