About the Role

HCA Florida Englewood Hospital is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist PRN to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist PRN, you will play a vital role in evaluating patients' conditions, administering diagnostic tests, and establishing treatment plans to address speech and language problems.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' conditions, obtain case history, and administer diagnostic tests to determine the nature and degree of speech and language problems.
  • Establish, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with hospital/department policies and procedures, scope of practice, and standards of practice.
  • Determine when patient progress and goals have been met or medical necessity no longer warrants intervention.
  • Establish provisions for continuing services and make referrals to other professionals regarding patient care as necessary.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
  • State of Florida Speech Language Pathologist licensed required.
  • Experience in an appropriate healthcare setting preferred.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required through American Heart Association.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) awarded by the Speech Language Hearing Association.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions; PC skills.
