Responsibilities of the Inventory Management Specialist include, but are not limited to:

  • Support DXP's Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program
  • Monitoring inventory levels and lead times for items daily
  • Ordering items that fall below minimum inventory levels
  • Setting order points for VMI items
  • Delivering and stocking products at customer facilities
  • Coordinating with DXP's sales team on substitute items
  • Keeping accurate counts of inventory at customer locations
  • Maintaining vending equipment at account facilities
  • Customer relations

Qualifications of the Inventory Management Specialist include, but are not limited to:

  • Ambitious and serious about starting your career
  • Working computer knowledge, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Able to follow procedures
  • Organized and attentive to detail
  • Basic mathematical knowledge
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Problem analysis and resolution skills
  • College degree preferred but not required
  • Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines

Physical Demand: Lifting up to 40 lbs

 

Working Conditions: Office and warehouse


Training/Certifications: N/A


Shift Time/Overtime: 7:30am - 4:00pm


Travel: 25% locally. Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines


Education: High School Diploma or GED
