Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Specialist to join our team at Earth Friendly Products in Addison. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that items are being properly recycled in accordance with EFP Sustainability policies.
  • Reserving customer orders in the ERP System (Deacom) using scanners.
  • Assembling customer orders for shipping via LTL or Truckload.
  • Verifying quantities against order pick lists, checking product quality and proper labeling before releasing to the holding area.
  • Placing orders on pallets or shelves, relocating them to a holding area or shipping department.
  • Marking completed pallets with identifying information for shipment as instructed.
  • Ensuring orders are prepared for shipping accurately and on time.
  • Assisting Inventory Control with picking finished goods from the filling line to place in staging areas or proper rack locations.
  • Assisting shipping and receiving with unloading trucks, verifying accuracy of received items by comparing packing slips with purchase orders.
  • Assisting with loading orders ready for shipment.
  • Notifying the Shipping & Receiving Manager of low item levels.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized receiving/shipping dock area.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; previous experience in a shipping and receiving department is preferred.
  • Forklift experience and/or certification are mandatory.
  • The ability to safely lift bottles, boxes, tools, equipment, and other necessary items, with a lifting capacity of up to 50 pounds.
  • The ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions.
  • The ability to manage time effectively and multitask.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions.

We estimate the salary for this position to be between $45,000 and $60,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.
