ParaprofessionalJob Description:

  1. Assisting Instruction: Help teachers by supporting students individually or in groups, reinforcing lessons, and preparing materials.

  2. Classroom Management: Maintain order, supervise activities, and ensure a safe environment.

  3. Administrative Support: Take attendance, grade assignments, and record student progress.

  4. Student Support: Work with individual students, including those with special needs, to provide care and assist with learning goals.

  5. Communication: Update parents on student progress and collaborate with teachers and other professionals.

  6. Data Collection: Collect and record data on student performance.

  7. Adaptation: Modify activities to meet the needs of students, especially those with disabilities or specific learning requirements.

  8. Special Programs: Assist in special education, ESL instruction, or other specialized programs as needed.

In essence, paraprofessionals aid educators in delivering effective instruction, maintaining classroom order, supporting student development, and ensuring communication with parents and colleagues.
