Schools - Paraprofessional

Location:Cobb County, GA
Position Overview: ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Paraprofessional to work in the Cobb Countyschool system. The Paraprofessional will work closely with teachers and students to support classroom activities and ensure a conducive learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance.
• Assist in classroom management and maintaining a conducive learning environment.
• Help prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Support students with special needs or disabilities, following Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as directed.
• Supervise students during various activities including lunch, recess, and field trips.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress and achievement.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.
• May include duties such as Toileting, Bus riding, Lifting, Behavior assistance, Classroom redirection
• Autism one on one support

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelors degree in education or related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of educational practices and classroom management techniques.
• Current GACE
