Location:Cobb County, GA
Position Overview: ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Paraprofessional to work in the Cobb Countyschool system. The Paraprofessional will work closely with teachers and students to support classroom activities and ensure a conducive learning atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance.
- Assist in classroom management and maintaining a conducive learning environment.
- Help prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
- Support students with special needs or disabilities, following Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as directed.
- Supervise students during various activities including lunch, recess, and field trips.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress and achievement.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.
- May include duties such as Toileting, Bus riding, Lifting, Behavior assistance, Classroom redirection
- Autism one on one support
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelors degree in education or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of educational practices and classroom management techniques.
- Current GACE
