Job Description

Local manufacturing company is in search of an electrical controls/electrical technician to join their maintenance department. This is a direct hire opportunity with medical benefits, PTO, paid holidays, NYS sick leave, and other benefits provided.

This technician will be responsible for repairing and rebuilding electrical machine components, systems, equipment, and controls systems at or around the facility. PLC or Fanuc controls troubleshooting will be required. Additional responsibilities include repairing electrical wiring, building electrical panels, machine building, electro-mechanical testing, and preventative maintenance. This role has the ability to transition to a leadership opportunity for anyone interested.

Skill Requirements
  • Familiarity with electrical machine components within a manufacturing environment
  • Machine building or electrical panel building
  • PLC troubleshooting or experience with Fanuc controls
  • Electrical schematic or blueprint reading
  • Ability to work with voltages up to 480v
  • Industrial maintenance or CNC maintenance beneficial but not mandatory
  • Any experience within an electrical engineering department also beneficial
Additional Information
  • Shift: Monday through Friday, First Shift (Flexible hours)
  • Pay: $30-38 per hour
  • Will be working in a fabrication shop environment
  • Uniforms and clothing provided by employer
  • Benefits, PTO, paid holidays, etc. available upon hire
