Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Controls Engineer to join our team at US Main. As a key member of our Controls Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and programming custom automated equipment, leading the development of Controls architecture for large multiple module systems, and ensuring the electrical design is functional, robust, and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and program custom automated equipment, including control systems for servo, robotic, and air-operated stations, as well as test and electrical devices.
  • Lead the development of Controls architecture for large multiple module systems, ensuring that all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering and Build teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Develop and maintain electrical wiring schematics, flow diagrams, panel layouts, and Bill of Materials, as well as update schematics and organize release packages.
  • Participate in internal and customer design reviews, installations, and service calls, providing technical support and guidance as needed.
  • Work closely with suppliers to find and develop the most functional and economical solutions to design issues.
  • Ensure that all work completed meets ISO9000 Certification requirements and follows all policy and procedures.
Requirements
  • Strong technical skills in electrical engineering, automation, and controls.
  • Experience with design and programming of custom automated equipment, including control systems for servo, robotic, and air-operated stations.
  • Leadership and technical direction skills, with the ability to guide and mentor team members.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize work and workspace, with a focus on meeting project schedules and budgets.
