Description:

Assist marketing specialist team in the placing of commercial accounts for small/ large commercial business. Working with Marketing Managers to support sales opportunities and drive growth.

  • Provide prompt and efficient assistance according to agency procedures and guidelines in completion of administrative functions with marketing specialist team.
  • Work in conjunction with marketing specialist team to prepare, put to market small / large business accounts. Working closely with the sales department and marketing specialist in obtaining and completing various commercial lines applications, supplementals and requested documents.
  • Follow all agency workflows and procedures as directed, utilization of task management system for ultimate efficiency.
  • Obtain P & C license within one year of employment.
  • Participate in continuing education programs when available.
  • Communicate with Supervisor/Manager any issues to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Build and maintain a favorable and professional work relationship with other staff members.
  • Adhere to established employee manual policies and guidelines.
  • Adhere to workflow procedures and follow guidelines to reduce the risk of E&O claims.
  • Promptly report all E&O claims or potential E&O claims.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff, and agency information.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Agency or company background in commercial insurance underwriting.
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with Vertafore a plus.
  • Appropriate state insurance licenses and continuing education required.
  • Works effectively and relates well with others including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
  • High level of organizational ability with attention to detail.

The starting salary is $19.24 per hour.


The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
