The role involves playing a key role in the monthly close process, maintaining financial records, and providing support to both accounts payable and receivable teams. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced environment within the industry and contribute to the continuous improvement of procedures, processes, and internal control documentation.


Responsibilities:

• Carry out month end close in line with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), including account reconciliations and journal entries

• Offer support to the accounts payable team as needed, ensuring the accurate coding and timely processing of accounts payable, credit card charges, and employee expense reports

• Assist the accounts receivable team when necessary, ensuring accurate and timely billing and cash application

• Ensure adherence to all applicable GAAP pronouncements

• Provide support for annual audits by preparing supporting schedules and assisting with audit requests

• Contribute to the development, rollout, and continuous improvement of procedures, processes, and internal control documentation

• Assist with the accounting aspect of integrating newly acquired firms

• Undertake ad hoc projects as requested

• Position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role

• Must have a strong understanding of General Ledger operations

• Experience in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements is essential

• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required

• CPA certification is a plus

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically

• Aptitude for understanding and interpreting financial data

• Must possess a high level of integrity and dependability
