As a Remote Special Education Teacher, you will provide personalized instruction and support to students in a virtual setting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide engaging and differentiated instruction tailored to each students needs
  • Conduct virtual assessments and progress monitoring to track student achievement
  • Collaborate with parents, students, and school staff to address educational and behavioral goals
  • Adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs

  • Stay informed about best practices and advancements in special education and remote teaching

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education from an accredited institution
  • Current New York state teaching certification
  • Proven experience in special education teaching (minimum of 2 years preferred)
  • Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and technology
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Ability to create and maintain a supportive and inclusive virtual classroom environment
