Job Opportunity at The Equity Project (TEP) Charter School

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at The Equity Project (TEP) Charter School. As a Special Education Teacher at TEP, you will work as a co-teacher in an integrated classroom, team teaching with the general education teacher to support the needs of all students. You will also teach small group literacy and math support classes for students who are significantly below grade level in these subjects.

About the Role

As a Special Education Teacher at TEP, you will lead instructional blocks in addition to providing co-teaching support. Middle school Special Education teachers specialize in a particular content (e.g. Math or Literacy) in addition to their expertise serving students with IEPs. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students and contribute to a collaborative and supportive teaching environment.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of lead teaching experience, at least 2 of which must have been in 4th through 9th grade classrooms. You must be deeply aligned to TEP's mission of providing a world-class education to historically under-resourced student communities.

Benefits

As a Special Education Teacher at TEP, you will enjoy a competitive salary of $140,000, with the opportunity to earn an annual bonus. You will also receive approximately 10 weeks of vacation per year, as well as a range of benefits including employee wellness programs, healthcare, and a 403b retirement plan.
