Job Description:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will create a positive and inclusive classroom where each students unique learning needs are met. Through collaboration with families and colleagues, you will work to enhance student learning and foster personal growth.
Responsibilities:
- Customized Instruction: Develop and deliver lessons tailored to each students needs.
- IEP Management: Create and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that meet educational requirements.
- Flexible Teaching Methods: Adjust teaching approaches to engage students effectively.
- Student Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate students academic progress and adapt strategies as needed.
- Classroom Management: Establish an organized, supportive classroom conducive to learning.
- Collaboration: Engage with families and school staff to ensure a holistic support system for students.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education.
- Certification: Valid New York Special Education teaching certification required.
- Experience: Preferred, but recent graduates with certification are welcome.
- Skills: Skilled in creating IEPs, delivering specialized instruction, and managing classroom dynamics.
