We are seeking a Purchasing/Procurement Specialist to join our team in Davie, Florida. The individual in this role will coordinate the procurement of various materials and services, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures. This role involves interacting with various departments, vendors, and managing daily purchasing functions. Government/municipality experience within procurement/purchasing discipline is required.


Responsibilities:


• Oversee daily purchasing activities for assigned commodities or services.

• Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and procedures, including state and federal regulations.

• Collaborate with various departments to coordinate standard specifications and bid conditions.

• Conduct market analysis to determine optimal procurement strategies, including price comparisons, market conditions, and product availability.

• Assist in negotiating favorable terms and conditions for purchasing contracts.

• Develop and manage bid and proposal documents for contracts.

• Solicit pricing quotes from vendors through various methods.

• Maintain professional relationships with vendors, ensuring delivery and quality obligations are met.

• Handle the formal bid and proposal process for assigned commodities and services.

• Promote compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies.

• Stay informed of current developments and technical sources related to job responsibilities.

• Use ERP solutions, Epicor, and other relevant software for efficient purchasing processes.

• Utilize strong communication skills to interact and negotiate with vendors and internal departments.

• Possession of a minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
• Proficiency in using Chef, Enterprise Resource Planning, Epicor, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, and ERP Solutions.
• Familiarity with About Time, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), and Buying Processes.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal teams.
• Experience in managing and optimizing procurement processes.
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best cost and timely delivery.
• Capable of analyzing market trends to identify procurement opportunities.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field would be a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
