Here we grow again ARC Health is seeking a highly experienced and strategic VP of Payor Relations to lead and optimize the managed care contracting strategies for our partnered mental health practices.


The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive contracting strategies, negotiating favorable contract terms, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards. This role requires a proven leader with extensive experience in the healthcare industry, strong negotiation skills, and a track record of driving positive financial outcomes.


Salary range: $150,000-$160,000+Bonus Structure

Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Payor Relations:

· Develop and execute comprehensive managed care contracting strategies to optimize revenue and reimbursement for partner practices.

· Perform a review of existing payer relationships to identify opportunities for refinement and/or renegotiation.

· Lead negotiations with payers to secure favorable contract terms, rates, and network participation for mental health services; lead the execution of new contracts and contract renewals to ensure maximum reimbursement, operational efficiency and compliance.

· Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including RCM, finance, legal, and clinical teams, to ensure alignment of contracting strategies with organizational goals and compliance standards.

· Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics affecting managed care contracting, and adjust strategies accordingly.

· Provide strategic guidance on payer relations, identifying opportunities for expansion, managing key relationships, and resolving contractual issues.

· Analyze and assess payer performance metrics, ensuring contract compliance and driving improvements in financial outcomes.

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including payers, governmental agencies, and industry associations.

· Oversee the development of data-driven reports and presentations to communicate contract performance, financial impacts, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

· Work collaboratively with the executive team to contribute to the overall growth and success of the mental healthcare MSO.

· Build collaborative relationships with external stakeholders; must be able to have crucial conversations involving these stakeholders with tact and decorum.

· Ability to manage through ambiguity and ever-changing timelines and business assumptions.

· Organizes and manages the work and resources of his/her functional unit to optimize productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Requirements:

What ARC Health is looking for in a Vice President of Payor Relations:

· A Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.

· Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in managed care contracting and strategy roles, with at least 5 years in mental or behavioral health.

· Proven leadership experience in managed care contracting within the mental or behavioral health.

· In-depth knowledge of mental or behavioral health reimbursement models, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

· Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successfully securing favorable contract terms and rates.

· Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to translate data into actionable insights.

· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

· Familiarity with technology and tools used for data analysis and contract management.

· Excellent with Microsoft Office Suite software.

· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

· Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

· Ability to abide by ethical guidelines and policies, including strict adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.

Note: Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.


Salary range: $150,000-$160,000+Bonus Structure
