Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSenior Accountant

LHH RS is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our client’s dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $70K and $85K annually.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Oversee cost accounting processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
  • Assist in the development and management of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns, including sales and use tax.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including profitability analysis and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs and variances.
  • Support the preparation of management reports and presentations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
