Job Description

Employees will work in a union facility on the 3rd shift. Shift times are Monday to Friday from 11:00pm to 7:00am, or Sunday to Thursday from 11:00pm to 7:00am. You must have at least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Adjust or repair packaging equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective equipment and parts using hand and power tools.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Inspect drives, motors, and belts; check fluid levels; replace filters and perform other maintenance tasks while keeping all activities documented.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair/owner manuals, engineering specifications, and parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Work with outside contractors and plant operations to ensure all maintenance is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Skills
  • Must have electrical knowledge and ability to test R&R 110-480v electric motors, circuits, and switches.
  • Knowledge of LOTO (Lock out Tag out) and Emergency Response Procedures.
  • Troubleshooting
  • Preventive maintenance
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • General understanding of electrical systems and controls is a plus.
  • Good interpersonal skills are a must.
  • Higher pay rate if proof of certain certifications and licenses is provided.
