Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining vendor relationships. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Duties

  • Process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding to the appropriate accounts.
  • Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial records.
  • Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Workday.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable activities.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and answer inquiries regarding payments.
  • Support month-end closing processes by providing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and tax regulations related to accounts payable.
  • Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and processing of invoices.

Experience

  • 2+ years in accounts payable.
  • Familiarity with public accounting or corporate accounting practices is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software ERP system preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
