Management Resources is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager for a 3-4 month contract. Based in Dallas, Texas, this role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable Department, including invoice processing, vendor purchase order management, and payment processes. Located in Uptown, working a hybrid schedule.


Responsibilities:

• Lead the Accounts Payable department, allocating work activities and monitoring workflow

• Develop and implement improvements to the existing work plan and methods of the Accounts Payable department

• Supervise a team of Accounts Payable Specialists

• Provide Accounts Payable management support to managers and internal customers

• Ensure complete, accurate, and timely processing of vendor accounts payable

• Manage the entry of invoices into the accounts payable system, including proper coding and approvals

• Match invoices with the appropriate purchase orders

• Liaise with internal departments regarding invoice discrepancies or coding questions

• Reconcile vendor statements and process vendor checks or EFTs as per the approved payment schedule

• Maintain vendor files, including scanning and electronically filing documents

• Address vendor inquiries and communicate with vendors regarding invoice or statement discrepancies

• Research outstanding checks and create new vendors in the system

• Ensure timely annual reporting of Form 1099s and monthly reporting of AP scorecards

• Document SOX controls and segregation of duties.

• Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the Real Estate & Property industry.
• Proficient in account coding and able to accurately classify expenses.
• Demonstrated experience with accounting software systems is required.
• Proficiency in using Concur for expense management is necessary.
• Must be adept at data processing, ensuring accurate and timely management of information.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions, particularly within a real estate context.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures is mandatory.
• Familiarity with accrual accounting principles and practices is required.
• Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions is necessary.
• Must be able to process and manage purchase orders efficiently.
• Ability to enter vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Proven experience in managing vendor relationships effectively.
• Must be able to reconcile vendor statements accurately and resolve any discrepancies.
• Capable of handling vendor inquiries professionally and promptly.
• Experience with EFT payments is a must.
• Ability to maintain vendor files, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accurate.
• Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley Control and its application in a real estate context is required.
