Position Title: Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHHT)

Location: Pojoaque, NM

Position Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: 30-40/hr based on experience

Benefits:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for deaf and hard of hearing students

  • Provide specialized instruction in various munication modes (e.g., ASL, oral/aural approaches)

  • Train staff and students on the use of assistive listening devices

  • Conduct ongoing evaluations and adjust teaching strategies as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/Master's degree in Deaf Education

  • Valid state New Mexico teaching license with endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education

  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)

  • Previous Early childhood development school experience
